What is "Lunch Club"?......

Pastoral Care

Elders visit their districts prior to the March, June, September and November Communions.
The Minister gives priority in his visiting to specific situations where pastoral support is required and appreciates being notified of such situations as they arise. The pew cards which are placed at the end of the pews in church can be used to advise the minister any Sunday of people who may require a visit.

Anyone who wishes to speak with the Minister, in confidence, on any pastoral matter should feel free to contact him.
The Minister is supported in his provision of pastoral care by the Friendship Group, which consists of him and twelve other members, each of whom has specific areas of responsibility which complement the care provided by the Minister.
The Friendship Group makes regular visits to the elderly, infirm, housebound, those in a care home etc. Please call Jean Allan (0141 571 1453) if you know of anyone who should be on our list. We will be very pleased to visit them.

Tinto Primary and Hillpark Secondary School Chaplaincies

We are pleased to be significantly involved in Tinto Primary and Hillpark Secondary schools.

Flowers

Each week the flowers in the church are sent to members of the congregation to let them know that our thoughts are with them in times of celebration, illness or bereavement. The flowers are sponsored by individuals in the congregation, arranged and distributed by a willing band of volunteers.
If you would like to donate flowers – whether in memory of a loved one or for some other reason - or help to arrange or distribute them please contact Jean Allan on 0141 571 1453.

Destitute Food Programme

We have set up a collection point at Eastwood for a recently established Destitute Food Programme and would appreciate donations of non-perishable foods such as tuna, rice, pasta, lentils, tinned tomatoes, tinned corned beef, tea, coffee, UHT milk and cereal. Cleaning materials, soap, toilet rolls, washing powder and personal hygiene products are also needed. Please place all donations in the box located at the front door of the church.
The purpose of the initiative is to provide food hampers to the increasing numbers of destitute homeless in our city. We have been actively involved in helping the local community through our Asylum & Community Drop-In Centre for almost 10 years and, having been asked to become involved in this programme, have agreed to support it by appealing to members for help. We do hope you are able to continue to contribute to this very worthwhile cause.

Stamp appeal

Please collect your used postage stamps and hand them in at the church in the box at the front door. They will be sent to the World Mission Stamp Appeal to aid the Girl's Hostel at St Columba's in Sialkot, Pakistan.
