The Boys’ Brigade

145th Company Glasgow Battalion


Our Object“The Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys, and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness.”

Welcome to the 145th Glasgow Company.

New members are always welcome, come join us at the times noted below.
There are three sections of the Boys’ Brigade and all meet on Thursday nights in the church halls.

Anchor Boys (P1 – P3) 6.30pm
Junior Section (P4 – P6) 6.30pm
Company Section (P7 +) 7.45pm


Anchor Boys
Anchor Boys aged 5-7 mostly play games and do crafts. They also take part in District competitions and Battalion Fun Days.

Junior Section
Junior Section aged 8-10 concentrate on the award scheme which involves a wide variety of educational activities, and play games. They also take part in District competitions.

Company Section
Company Section aged 11-18 concentrate on the Discover Programme, which also has a wide variety of educational activities, including, first aid, expedition, bible study, and drill. They also have activity time when they play badminton, basketball, football, chess and table tennis.

Pipe Band
Our Band started from scratch, Members of the 145th Glasgow Boys’ Brigade had no previous knowledge of how to play the bagpipes or drums and though training beginning at the end of 2010, we have grown into an extraordinary Pipe Band, and managing to win awards such as President’s Piper & Sticks Champion and many more.”

All sections attend church parades.
